"I have recently learned from a trusted advisor that the King's brother Drenden, may still be alive and helping the Terians," Silmara stated matter-of-factly.
Her words fell like a stone into a still pond. Belthas looked shocked, after all ,he had heard the same story she had, that Drenden had died in a horrific boat fire trying to save a young girl while crossing Lake Cresnor during the last war, the one that had taken Sevel. Aiden had been there too, both Princes had joined the Revan army against their parents wishes when the call went out. Aiden had returned with the harrowing tale and his brother's blackened sword as proof. Afterwa

There. She saw it. A beautiful stag that looked like it could provide enough food to last the tribe a couple of weeks. If they dried some of the meat, it would last longer. The pelt could be made into shoes or clothes for many tribesmen. The antlers would be good for trade, especially with the Summerset Tribe.
"Do you see it, Sylvie?"
"Shhhh!" she hissed at the man next to her. His name was Naoru and had been her best friend since childhood. He had golden blonde hair and eyes as blue as the stream before them.
"But Sylvie! It's beautiful!" Naoru whispered excitedly. A couple of the other elves began whispering too.

"Suria!" the old mage bellowed. "Dang blast it, girl, where did you go?"
She could hear the old codger rummaging around in the lab. She was exactly where he had told her to be-in the library, dusting off the crummy old books. For someone as skilled as she, one would think that he could find better things for her to do.
Suria sighed, exasperated. He could remember the most complex spells with ease, but could never remember the simple tasks that he had given her.
"I'm in here," she called as she climbed down the ladder.
"Get in here, girl!"
Suria heard a loud crash and rushed to the lab across the hall. There she found the mage s

TS2-Of Butterflies and Fairies
The park was idyllic. Luminescent butterflies flew around with fairies chasing them. A brown haired little girl chased the fairies trying to catch them.
"Alright, Alesiya, time to go," an elderly, white haired lady called.
"But I don't want to!" Sara yelled back.
"We have too, Sara. You're party is tonight, do you want to miss it?" the lady asked.
Sara came running over to here. "Let's go, Marie!" she said excitedly.
Marie chuckled and picked the little girl up.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Sara awoke feeling content but excited. The dream had been much better than the one the week before. She wondered who Marie was. She was reminded o

It was a time of peace, love, and prosperity. A time when man helped his fellow man and there were no hardships. The Earth was lush and vibrant, a veritable bounty for the creature living upon it.
Yeah, right, when was it ever like that? I asked myself.
After three World Wars, the Earth was in shambles. A parched husk of it's previous glory. Much of the wilds had died centuries ago between the encroachment of humanity and nuclear Holocaust. There was not much left, and what was around was once again being fought over.
"Central Russia was nuked yesterday," Clint stated.

It was a moonless night when the hordes came. Hideous creatures that had the features of rats but walked upright like men. They struck terror in the hearts of all those who saw them.
The Ratmen gathered on the field outside the city of Aleysta, the capital of the kingdom of Aurulia. There was one thought on their simple minds: conquest. They stormed the castle.
"We cannot hold them back!" the captain yelled.
The horde had struck just after midnight, seemingly coming from everywhere. The night watch had been the first to see them and had sounded the alarm.
"Sire, we must flee. The city is lost," Sir Ren said in hushed tones to th
The child stared into the darkest cave she had ever seen. She thought she could hear someone snoring from inside, but that could very well be the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks behind her echoing from within.
She crept closer. She had never seen this particular cave before, and she had been coming to this beach since before she could walk. She looked up and down the shore. Good, she thought, he's no where in sight. She did not want her pesky little cousin to see her. All she saw were the waves crashing onto the shore and the gulls hovering over the sea.
She crept farther into the cave. The walls were smooth and black, as
